What exactly is Fair Wear?
The Fair Wear Foundation works with brands, factories, unions, non-profit organizations and sometimes even governments to monitor and improve working conditions in the respective production countries. By exchanging expertise, social dialogue and bringing together partners in the textile industry, the FWF promotes sustainable, social and fair work.
By checking the production chain almost completely, it is ensured that the working conditions at each station are the same or meet the standards of the organization. The more than 80 member companies of the FWF represent over 120 brands and are based in Europe. Change and social responsibility always require a certain amount of effort and come at a price, but in return you make a difference and don't look away. That's why we at Ligarti have decided to only use Fair Wear traded T-shirts and sweaters.
"The Fair Trade movement is growing as people realize that they can help alleviate poverty and protect the environment by choosing Fair Trade products." – Robert Alan Silverstein
